IIT Delhi Admission 2025 Eligibility & Selection Criteria
The admission process at IIT Delhi is primarily entrance exam-based, with the exception of the PG Diploma program. For BTech admissions, candidates must qualify through JEE Main and JEE Advanced, followed by participation in the counselling process. Admission to the MBA program at IIT Delhi requires a valid CAT score. Likewise, MTech and MSc admissions are based on GATE and IIT JAM scores, followed by COAP and CCMN counselling rounds, respectively. The registration window is currently open for the Master of Science (MSc) program, and the IIT JAM exam is scheduled for February 2, 2025. IIT Delhi BTech Seat Reservation 2025
Seat allocation for IIT Delhi undergraduate programs (BTech/BSc) follows government-mandated reservation policies across various categories such as Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and others. Additionally, if a female candidate does not secure admission under the Female-Only quota, she remains eligible for selection through the Gender-Neutral category. IIT Delhi Admission Process 2025: Step-by-Step Guide
Aspirants applying to various programmes at IIT Delhi must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements listed above. The admission process at the institute is systematic and involves multiple stages, including registration, entrance examinations, shortlisting, merit list release, counselling, and final admission confirmation. The stepwise process to gain admission into IIT Delhi is outlined below:
Step 1: Application Submission for IIT Delhi 2025
Applicants aiming to study at IIT Delhi must fill out the application form for the respective entrance exam. For instance, BTech aspirants must first register for JEE Main, and then proceed to apply for JEE Advanced.
Likewise, for postgraduate courses like MSc, candidates must complete the IIT-JAM (Joint Admission Test for Masters) application. Other PG and PhD programme aspirants must fill out the respective entrance exam forms and additionally register on the official IIT Delhi website for institute-level applications.
Step 2: Selection Process at IIT Delhi
Once the application procedure is complete, candidates are required to appear for the designated entrance test and may have to go through additional selection stages depending on the programme. For several courses, counselling sessions are also held as part of the seat allocation process.
Step 3: Final Admission & Seat Confirmation
After successfully clearing the entrance and selection stages, shortlisted candidates must confirm their admission by paying the applicable IIT Delhi admission fee to secure their allotted seat.
