Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences (SGRRIM&HS), Dehradun owes its foundation and remarkable progress to the visionary leadership of the present Sajjada Nashin, Sri Mahant Devendra Das Ji, the esteemed spiritual head of the Udaseen Sect. The institute was established in the sacred memory of Sri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj, the eldest son of the seventh Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Har Rai Ji.

Sri Guru Ram Rai Ji established his Dera in the serene Doon Valley in 1676, a settlement that eventually grew into what is now known as Dehradun—its name derived from the “Dera” of the revered saint.

Today, SGRRIM&HS spans across a sprawling 30-acre campus, offering 150 MBBS seats and 96 postgraduate seats (MD/MS). The institute is renowned for its high academic standards, supported by a team of dedicated, experienced, and highly qualified faculty members, making it a leading center for medical education.

The academic environment is enriched with state-of-the-art facilities including modern lecture halls, fully equipped laboratories, interactive museums, and a spacious dissection hall.
