Bodoland University, established in 2009 under the Bodoland University Act passed by the Assam Legislative Assembly, is a public state university located in Kokrajhar, Assam. It was formed by upgrading the Kokrajhar campus of Gauhati University into a full-fledged state university, making it the first university in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and Lower Assam, excluding Guwahati.
