Admission Process and Eligibility, Cutoff and Selection

Admissions for B.E./B.Tech (2025-26) are entrance-based, primarily through Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for KCET quota, COMEDK for private quota, and limited management quota seats. As of January 2026, counseling rounds may be ongoing or completed—check KEA/COMEDK portals for updates.

  • Eligibility for B.E./B.Tech: Pass in 10 2 (PUC/Higher Secondary or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as compulsory subjects (or PCB/PCE in some cases); minimum 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ST categories). Minimum age 17 years. Valid KCET/COMEDK rank required.

  • Admission Process:

    • Appear for KCET (primary for government quota) or COMEDK UGET.

    • Participate in centralized counseling by KEA/COMEDK. Seats allotted based on rank, category, preferences.

    • Management quota: Direct application to the college (higher fees).

    • Documents: 10 2 marksheet, entrance rank card, caste/income certificate (if applicable), photos, etc.

  • Application Fee : 500 INR 

  • Cutoff and Selection: Merit-based on entrance ranks (KCET/COMEDK). Cutoffs vary by branch, category, and round. Latest 2025 KCET approximate closing ranks (General Merit/GM category examples, Round 3 or final):

    • B.E. Computer Science and Engineering: ~47,000–85,000 (e.g., around 69,507–84,966 in some rounds).

    • B.E. Aeronautical Engineering: ~56,000–97,000.

    • Other branches (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Agriculture): Higher ranks (less competitive, often 70,000 ). Cutoffs are dynamic; refer to official KEA portal for exact 2025 details.
