Overview
The Faculty of Law at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), situated in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi, was established in 1989. Initially offering a three-year LL.B. program, it has since expanded to include a five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program, introduced in the 2002–2003 academic session. The faculty also offers postgraduate programs, including a two-year LL.M. with specializations in Personal Law, Corporate Law, and Criminal Law, as well as a Ph.D. in Law.
JMI's Faculty of Law is recognized for its emphasis on practical legal education. It has established a Legal Services Clinic and actively involves students in moot court competitions, client counseling, and legal aid programs. The faculty's curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, complemented by opportunities for hands-on experience.
Admissions to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program are based on the JMI Law Entrance Exam, with applicants required to have completed their 10+2 education with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
