Government Medical College, Handwara

Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara, located in Handwara, Jammu and Kashmir, India, was established in 2023. It is affiliated with the University of Kashmir and recognized by the National Medical Commission. ​

Academic Programs:

• Undergraduate: Offers a 5.5-year MBBS program with an annual intake of 100 students. Admissions are based on merit through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). ​

• Postgraduate: Plans are underway to introduce Diplomate of National Board (DNB) programs, with inspections by the National Board of Examinations expected soon.
