GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE VIKARABAD

Nestled in the scenic embrace of the Ananthagiri Hills, Government Medical College, Vikarabad stands as a symbol of beauty, tranquility, and historical significance. Established on August 6, 2022, the college is part of the Telangana government's vision—led by Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy Garu and Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha Garu—to ensure accessible and high-quality medical care across rural areas of the state.

The college received its Letter of Permission (LoP) from the National Medical Commission (NMC) on April 18, 2023. Its campus is uniquely housed in a heritage building originally constructed during the Nizam era in 1946. Once a renowned Tuberculosis (TB) sanatorium, the facility served countless patients from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Today, the historic structure has been renovated and upgraded to meet modern standards as prescribed by the NMC, transforming it into a center for medical education and advanced healthcare.
