Overview
Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram—known as GLC Trivandrum—is one of the oldest and most prestigious law institutions in India, established in 1875 by the Maharaja of Travancore under the University of Madras . Located on a serene 5-acre campus at Highland Bungalow, Barton Hill, it is affiliated with the University of Kerala and approved by the Bar Council of India .
GLC offers a comprehensive legal education, including the five-year integrated B.A. LL.B (Honours), a three-year LL.B., and LL.M. programs in Constitutional, Criminal, Criminology, Penology, and International/Science & Technology Law . Admissions are based on the Kerala Law Entrance Examination administered by the state’s Commissioner for Entrance Examinations .
The campus features heritage architecture alongside modern additions, including large smart classrooms, moot court halls, a canteen, and hostel facilities for both men and women .
