Hamdard Institute of legal Studies (HILSR), The Jamia Hamdard University, Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi

The Hamdard Institute of Legal Studies and Research (HILSR), established in 2018, is the School of Law at Jamia Hamdard University, located in Hamdard Nagar, New Delhi. Approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI), HILSR offers a five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in legal education. The institute emphasizes a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing students for various roles in the legal profession. In addition to the undergraduate program, HILSR has expanded its academic offerings to include postgraduate and doctoral programs. Since the 2022–2023 academic session, the institute offers LL.M. programs with specializations in Constitutional Law and Commercial Law, as well as a Ph.D. program in Law. HILSR is committed to fostering a research-oriented environment. The institute publishes the HILSR Law Review, an annual peer-reviewed e-journal that provides a platform for legal scholars, practitioners, and students to publish high-quality legal research and engage in intellectual discourse within the field of law. 

The faculty at HILSR comprises experienced professionals dedicated to imparting quality education and mentoring students. The institute's curriculum is designed to integrate classroom learning with practical experiences, including moot court competitions, legal aid clinics, and internships, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the challenges of the legal profession.
