Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), located in Ghandal near Shimla, is a premier institution for legal education established in 2016 under the Himachal Pradesh National Law University Act (Act 16 of 2016). As the 20th National Law University in India, HPNLU is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) .

The university offers a range of programs:

• Undergraduate: Five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programs, each admitting students through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

• Postgraduate: A one-year LL.M. program with specializations in Constitutional Law, Criminal Law & Forensic Studies, Business Law, and Intellectual Property Rights, also admitting students via CLAT PG .

• Doctoral: Ph.D. and LL.D. programs in Law .
