MBA Admission Process:

1. Eligibility Criteria Applicants must fulfill the following basic requirements:

• Educational Qualification: A bachelor’s degree of at least three years’ duration in any discipline from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

• Minimum Marks: At least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree examination. Candidates from reserved categories are eligible with a minimum of 45% marks.

2. Entrance Examination Admission is typically based on scores from national-level management entrance exams.

• Preferred Exam: A valid score in the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is generally required or given preference.

• Other Accepted Exams: Scores from other recognized exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT, or PU MET may also be considered, depending on the university’s guidelines.

3. Application and Registration Candidates must register for the Centralized Online Counselling through the official IKGPTU admission portal :This includes completing the application form, submitting academic and personal details, and paying the required registration fee.

4. Centralized Online Counselling The university organizes a centralized counselling process for MBA admissions.

• Merit-Based Seat Allocation: Seats are allotted based on the inter-se merit of candidates, primarily determined by entrance exam scores.

• Seat Reservation: Typically, 85% of the seats are reserved for candidates who are residents of Punjab, while the remaining 15% are open to candidates from other states under the All India Quota.
