​K.A.P. Viswanatham Government Medical College (KAPVGMC), established in 1997 and named after the renowned Tamil scholar K.A.P. Viswanatham, is a prominent government medical institution located in Tiruchirappalli (Trichy), Tamil Nadu. Affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. The college admits 150 students annually into its MBBS program through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), with 85% of seats allocated to the state quota and the remaining 15% to the All India Quota. Since 2007, KAPVGMC has expanded its academic offerings to include postgraduate courses (MD/MS) in various specialties, with an annual intake of 94 students, and super-specialty courses (DM/MCh) in disciplines such as Cardiology, Neurology, and Neurosurgery.

The institution is associated with the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital, a 1,200-bed facility located approximately 2 kilometers from the college campus.
