Overview
Krishna University (KrU), established in 2008, is a state public university located in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, founded to meet the higher education needs of the Krishna district. The university was established on 25 June 2008 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under Act No. 29 of 2008. Its main campus is situated at Rudravaram, Machilipatnam, spread across approximately 147.78 acres in a peaceful rural environment, with an additional Postgraduate Centre at Nuzvid. Krishna University is recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B), while its constituent colleges are approved by AICTE and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The university houses well-equipped modern laboratories across engineering, science, and pharmacy disciplines. Engineering laboratories support CSE (Data Science, UNIX, Python, Java) and ECE (VLSI Design, Microprocessors, Linear IC Applications). Science and pharmacy programs are backed by advanced laboratories for Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, and Pharmaceutical Sciences, including central instrumentation and machine rooms. All laboratories are equipped with modern scientific instruments, safety systems, and digital instructional facilities, supporting practical learning and research activities.
