Mamata Medical College, Khammam was established in 1998 by the Mamata Educational Society (MES), aiming to provide quality medical education and healthcare services to the people of Telangana, particularly Khammam district. The college is affiliated with Dr. Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The college is situated in the heart of Khammam Municipal Corporation, abutting the state highway, and is well-connected by road, rail, with the nearest airports being Hyderabad and Vijayawada, approximately 180 km and 130 km away, respectively. The 40-acre campus is located at an elevation of 1,120 meters above sea level, offering a salubrious and pollution-free environment throughout the year.
The campus features a total built-up area of 90,935 sq. meters, encompassing the college building and hospital. The college building comprises four floors housing individual departments, four gallery lecture halls, a medical education unit, and separate common rooms for boys and girls.
