S. J. M. Law College, Chitradurga

S.J.M. Law College (Sri Jagdguru Murugharajendra Matha Vidyapeetha), Chitradurga, founded in 1993–94, is a private, unaided institution affiliated with Karnataka State Law University (formerly Kuvempu University) and approved by the Bar Council of India . Known as a "Quality Centre for Legal Education," the college aims to develop socially aware legal professionals through structured academic and extracurricular programs .

It offers a five‑year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and a three‑year LL.B., both requiring merit-based selection through qualifying marks or university entrance exam, with 45% minimum marks in PUC for the integrated course . The faculty includes around nine full-time professors, supplemented by part-time and guest lecturers, supported by 13 administrative staff .
