Shri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital

The foundation stone of the college was laid by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Sj. Naveen Patnaik on 4^th July 2015. The College building construction was completed in 2017. This Medical college was built with an aim to improve the doctor-population ratio by utilizing the District Head Quarter Hospital as the teaching hospital. The College campus spreads over a sprawling area of 25.6 Acres on the way to Puri-Konark Marine road. The present teaching hospital (erstwhile DHH )spreads over an area of 12 Acres and is situated in the main town of Puri around 8 km away from the College campus. Shri Jagannath Medical College is building its own teaching hospital on 8 acres of the area adjacent to the college and this is expected to be completed in 2024.
