Sitamarhi Institute of Technology

Overview: Sitamarhi Institute of Technology (SIT) is a government engineering college wholly funded by the Government of Bihar and administered by the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education, Patna. Established in 2016, the institute is situated in Sitamarhi district on a campus spread over approximately 5.04 acres at Gosaipur, Paroha. Affiliated to Bihar Engineering University (BEU), Patna, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, the college offers 4-year B.Tech courses in six disciplines including Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering with Computer Applications, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The college features well-equipped state-of-the-art laboratories, a digital library, an auditorium for seminars, a canteen, and separate residential facilities, along with indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Admissions are conducted through BCECE, Bihar on the basis of JEE Main scores.
