Swami Ramanand Teerth Rural Medical College Ambajogai

​Swami Ramanand Teerth Rural Medical College (SRTR GMC) in Ambajogai, Maharashtra, is a government medical institution established in 1975. Recognized as Asia's first rural medical college, it was founded under the leadership of Dr. V.K. Dawale, FRCS, with the aim of providing quality medical education and healthcare services in rural areas .​ Affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the college offers undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) programs across various specialties . Admissions are conducted through NEET UG and NEET PG entrance examinations.​ The campus is situated in a serene, nature-friendly environment on the outskirts of Ambajogai, providing a conducive atmosphere for learning. With a faculty strength of over 100 members, the college emphasizes academic excellence, clinical training, and community-oriented healthcare.​
