Theni Government Medical College, Theni

​Theni Government Medical College, established in 2004, is a government-run medical institution located in the rural district of Theni, Tamil Nadu. Affiliated with the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, the college offers undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS) programs across various medical specialties.

The campus is situated along National Highway 85, approximately 9 kilometers from the Theni district headquarters and 7 kilometers from Aundipatty. It encompasses a well-equipped hospital with around 600 beds, providing services such as casualty care, outpatient and inpatient services, a blood bank, and comprehensive health check-ups. The college infrastructure includes modern facilities like a central library, lecture halls, laboratories, separate hostels for male and female students, and recreational amenities. 

Serving as a tertiary referral center, the institution plays a pivotal role in delivering healthcare services to the surrounding rural communities of Tamil Nadu and neighboring Kerala.
