Vitasta School of Law and Humanities, situated in the heart of Srinagar, was established in 2010 with the aim of nurturing legal talent in the region of Jammu and Kashmir. Affiliated with the University of Kashmir and approved by the Bar Council of India, the institution quickly earned a reputation for academic excellence and legal training. It initially offered both the traditional three-year LL.B. program and the five-year integrated B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) course.

However, the three-year LL.B. course was discontinued after the 2014–15 academic session, a decision aligned with evolving regulatory standards and academic planning. Since then, the college has focused solely on the five-year integrated program, which blends foundational subjects from the humanities with core legal studies. This shift reflects the institution’s long-term vision of offering comprehensive legal education to students right after their higher secondary schooling.

Vitasta Law School emphasizes a holistic approach to legal education, combining rigorous academics with practical exposure through moot courts, legal aid clinics, and internships. The college aims to produce well-rounded graduates ready to enter the legal profession, judiciary, civil services, or academia.
