Andhra Kesari University, located in Ongole, Prakasam District, Andhra Pradesh, is a state university established on January 11, 2022. Named in honor of Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu, a revered freedom fighter and the first Chief Minister of Andhra State, the university embodies his legacy of courage and commitment to education.The university evolved from the Acharya Nagarjuna University Post-Graduation Centre, which was set up in 1993 to serve the educational needs of the region. Recognizing the importance of higher education in this economically and educationally backward district, the Andhra Pradesh government upgraded the center to a full-fledged university.

Currently, Andhra Kesari University offers nine postgraduate programs, including M.A. in History and Economics, Master of Social Work (M.S.W.), Master of Education (M.Ed.), M.Com., M.B.A., M.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics, and Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.). Additionally, it offers an undergraduate program, the Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.). The university's campus is situated in Pernamitta village of Santhanuthalapadu mandal, encompassing over 109 acres. This expansive setting provides a serene environment conducive to learning and research.
