B.Tech Admission Categories

Admissions at GPCET follow the guidelines set by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Seats are divided into two main categories:

  1. Category A (Convenor Quota - 70%): These seats are filled through the AP EAPCET (formerly AP EAMCET) centralized counseling process based on merit ranks.

  2. Category B (Management/NRI Quota - 30%): These seats are filled by the college management based on merit in 12th marks or entrance exam ranks (JEE Main/AP EAPCET), following APSCHE regulations.

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for B.Tech admission at GPCET, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Feature Requirement
Academic Qualification Passed 12th (Intermediate) or equivalent from a recognized board (BIEAP, CBSE, ICSE).
Mandatory Subjects Must have passed with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC) as compulsory subjects.
Minimum Aggregate Marks At least 45% marks in the group subjects taken together (40% for reserved categories).
Entrance Exam A valid rank in AP EAPCET  is required for Category A seats.
Age Limit Candidates must be at least 16 years old as of 31st December of the admission year.
Lateral Entry (ECET) Diploma holders with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) can enter the 2nd year (3rd semester) via AP ECET .

Admission Process

  1. Entrance Exam: Register and appear for AP EAPCET.

  2. Counseling Registration: After results, register for AP EAPCET Counseling on the official APSCHE portal.

  3. Certificate Verification: Complete the online or offline document verification process as per the state schedule.

  4. Web Options: Select "G. Pullaiah College of Engineering & Technology (GPCET)" and your preferred branches in the web options portal.

  5. Seat Allotment: Based on your rank and preferences, APSCHE will allot a seat.

  6. Reporting: Download the allotment order, pay the necessary fees, and report to the college within the specified timeline.
