Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualifications:

HSC (12th Standard): Must have passed with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational subjects.

Minimum Marks: At least 45% aggregate in the above subjects (40% marks for candidates from reserved categories, EWS, and PWD belonging to Maharashtra State).

Qualifying Examinations:

Maharashtra State Seats: Mandatory MHT-CET 2026 score.

All India Seats: JEE Main 2026 scores are preferred; however, MHT-CET scores are also considered if seats remain vacant.

Cut-off Marks (General Trends):

Computer Science Engineering (CSE): Typically requires a percentile between 65–68 (MHT-CET) or a JEE Main rank under 45,000 (State Merit).

Information Technology: Percentile approx. 55–58.

Electronics & Telecom: Percentile approx. 45–50.

Relaxation Criteria:

A 5% relaxation in 12th-grade marks (down to 40%) is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/VJ-NT/SBC/EWS candidates who are domiciled in Maharashtra.
Admission Process

Application Mode: Primarily Online through the official State CET Cell Portal.

Application Steps:

Registration: Create a profile on the DTE/CET Cell portal.

Document Verification: Upload documents for e-scrutiny or visit a designated Facilitation Center (FC).

Merit List: Check the Provisional and Final Merit Lists issued by DTE.

Option Form: Fill in GNIET Nagpur (Choice Code: 4134) as your preference during CAP rounds.

Seat Allotment: If allotted, download the allotment letter and report to the institute.

Application Fees: Generally ₹800 for General category and ₹600 for Reserved/PWD categories.

Selection Basis: Strictly based on entrance exam merit and category-wise seat reservations.
