Admission Process Overview

1. Eligibility Criteria

  • A four-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Pharmacy OR

  • A master’s degree in Science, Economics, or Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at the bachelor’s level)

  • Minimum marks required:

    • General/EWS/OBC: 60% or CGPA of 6.5/10

    • SC/ST/PwD: 55% or CGPA of 6.0/10

2. Entrance Exam

  • Admission is based on CAT 2024 scores

  • Minimum CAT percentile required:

    • General: 90

    • NC-OBC: 80

    • SC/ST/PwD: 75

3. Shortlisting for Interview

  • Candidates are shortlisted based on:

    • CAT score

    • Academic performance

    • Work experience (if any)

    • Diversity factors

4. Personal Interview (PI)

  • Conducted in three phases during March 2025

  • No Group Discussion (GD) round is conducted

5. Final Selection

  • Composite score includes:

    • CAT score

    • PI performance

    • Academic background

    • Work experience.

These are the minimum eligibility percentiles required to be considered for the Personal Interview (PI).

  • These are eligibility thresholds to be considered for the Personal Interview (PI) round.

  • No sectional cutoffs are applied, only the overall percentile matters.

 

Shortlisting Score Composition

Once candidates meet the minimum CAT percentile, the shortlisting score is calculated using:

  1. CAT Scaled Score (out of 20)

  2. Application Rating (AR) (based on academics, work experience, and qualifications)

  3. Gender Diversity Factor (GDF): 4 marks for female applicants.

10th Std. 1 to 3
12th Std. 1 to 4
UG (Engineering) 4 to 7
UG (Commerce/Arts) 1 to 4
PG (Science/Eco) 1 to 3

 

Additional Marks:

  • MTech/ME/MS/M.Pharma: 1 mark

  • Professional Qualifications (e.g., CA, CFA): 1 mark

  • Work Experience: Scored based on duration and relevance.

 

Final Selection Criteria

After the PI round, the final composite score includes:

  • CAT Score

  • PI Performance

  • Application Rating

  • Work Experience

  • Gender Diversity Bonus
