Eligibility Criteria for MBBS Admission at ISMU (Russia)

Irkutsk State Medical University welcomes international students, including a large number from India, to its globally recognized MBBS program. To ensure a smooth admission process and future medical practice in India, candidates must meet the following academic and regulatory requirements:

 Academic Qualifications

Tip: Strong academic performance in Biology and Chemistry is particularly beneficial for adapting to the rigorous medical curriculum.

 NEET Requirement

• NEET Qualification: As per the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines, all Indian students must qualify the NEET (National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test) to be eligible for admission to any foreign medical university.

• Purpose: NEET qualification ensures that students can register for medical practice in India after completing their MBBS abroad.

Important: NEET scores are valid for 3 years for admission to foreign medical institutions.

 Age Criteria

• Minimum Age: The applicant must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31st of the year of admission.

• No Upper Age Limit: While there is no strict upper age limit for admission to ISMU, NEET eligibility may have its own age restrictions.
