LPU Admission Eligibility and Selection Guidelines 2025

Lovely Professional University offers admission to over 150 undergraduate and postgraduate programs through its own entrance exam, LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test). In addition to LPUNEST, the university also considers scores from various national-level entrance examinations. Below are the eligibility requirements and selection procedures for course admissions at Lovely Professional University.

BBA / BBA (Hons)	Class 12 qualification from a recognised board with 50%-60% marks including English as a subject.	Admission via LPUNEST or CUET-UG. Some BBA specialisations may offer merit-based entry.
MCA / MCA (Hons)	At least 60% marks in BCA, BSc (Computer Science/IT), or any undergraduate degree with Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Maths, Business Statistics, or Quantitative Techniques studied at the UG level or in Class 12.	Admission through LPUNEST.
BA LLB (Hons)	Minimum of 60% in Class 12 (any stream) with English as a core subject.	Through LPUNEST, CLAT, or CUET.

LPU Admission Procedure 2025

Admission to Lovely Professional University (LPU) for the academic year 2025 is conducted through LPUNEST or other recognized entrance exams. The overall process includes application submission, test appearance, interview (where applicable), confirmation of admission, and document verification. Below is a detailed breakdown of the steps involved:

Step 1: Application Submission

Candidates must apply online by registering on the LPU ADMIT portal. Registration requires basic personal information such as name, email address, mobile number, state, gender, and password. The application fee for the LPUNEST entrance exam is ₹1,000.

Step 2: Slot Reservation

After registering, applicants are required to select their preferred date and time to take the LPUNEST exam. The admit card can be downloaded directly from the official portal after the slot is booked.

Step 3: Taking the LPUNEST Exam

Students must take the LPUNEST on the scheduled date. Depending on the course, this test could serve one of two purposes:

LPU also considers scores from national-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, CLAT, and others for admission to specific programs. Additionally, some courses may require candidates to attend a personal interview.

Step 4: Results, Counselling, and Allocation of Seats

Once the results are published, candidates must choose their preferred program. Following this, they participate in a counselling session, which also includes discussions on available scholarships (if eligible). Seat assignment is carried out based on counselling outcomes and the order of application (first-come-first-served).

Step 5: Final Admission Confirmation

To confirm admission, candidates must complete the admission form and make an initial payment of ₹10,000. Once the fee is successfully processed, the university issues a provisional registration number via email. Applicants are then required to upload the necessary documents and pay the remaining fees within the given deadline.
