MBBS Admission Process 2025 – Netaji Subhas Medical College & Hospital, Patna

Admission to the MBBS program for the 2025 academic year is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) score.

The admission process is conducted through centralized counseling managed by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) for state-quota seats.
Key Requirements & Eligibility

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10 2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects.

Minimum Marks:

General category: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.

SC/ST/OBC categories: Minimum 40% aggregate marks in the same subjects.

Age Limit:

Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or on or before December 31, 2025.

The upper age limit for NEET is 25 years, with a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST categories.

NEET Score: A valid NEET-UG score is mandatory for admission.
Admission & Counselling Procedure

NEET-UG Exam: Candidates must appear for and qualify the NEET-UG exam.

Counselling Registration: Candidates must register online for Bihar NEET UG Counselling (UGMAC) conducted by BCECEB.

Choice Filling & Locking: During the counselling process, candidates must fill in and lock their choices of colleges, including Netaji Subhas Medical College & Hospital.

Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted by BCECEB based on NEET-UG rank, state merit list, and college preferences.

Document Verification & Fee Payment: Candidates allotted a seat must report to the college with original documents for verification and pay the prescribed fees to confirm admission.
