In alignment with the standards set by regulatory authorities, the campus features eight lecture theatres of various capacities. A large playground enriches the student experience, while separate hostels for undergraduate and postgraduate students—both boys and girls—are provided in accordance with MCI (now NMC) guidelines. The college also houses a spacious auditorium in the Academy Building and a state-of-the-art e-classroom to support modern learning needs. A well-maintained guest house within the premises offers accommodation for visiting external examiners.
NRS Medical College actively fosters research and innovation. A Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU), developed in collaboration with the Department of Health Research, is operational. In addition, the college is home to a DBT-NIDAN Kendra, an advanced research initiative launched in partnership with the Department of Biotechnology.
The institution’s Central Laboratory offers comprehensive diagnostic services round the clock. It is supported by 24/7 imaging facilities including CT scan, MRI, digital X-ray, and ultrasonography. The recent addition of cutting-edge linear accelerator systems (Tru-Beam and Hi-Beam) marks a major advancement in cancer treatment and radiotherapy services.
To support its large staff base, the college provides ample residential facilities for both teaching and non-teaching personnel.
Currently, the teaching hospital associated with NRS Medical College boasts a capacity of 1,920 beds, with an average daily outpatient department (OPD) footfall of approximately 4,700 patients.
Looking ahead, the college has ambitious expansion plans, including a new ten-storey hospital building and a dedicated super-specialty facility, which will further enhance its role as a premier institution in medical education and patient care.
