Seat Allotment and Admission Process

Admission to the BDS program at SJM Dental College & Hospital is determined through centralized counseling based on the candidate’s NEET-UG rank, category, seat availability, and the choices filled during the counseling process.

Once a seat is allotted, candidates are required to report to the college with all necessary documents and complete the fee payment to confirm their admission.

 

Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admission

To be eligible for the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Qualifying Exam Must have passed the 10 2 or equivalent examination
Subjects Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as optional subjects and English as a language subject
Minimum Marks Minimum 50% aggregate in PCB; 40% for SC/ST or Category-1 candidates (Karnataka reservation)
Entrance Exam Must have appeared for and qualified in the NEET-UG examination
Age Limit Must be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year
