Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission into the first year of the B.E. program, a candidate must fulfill these requirements:

Academic Qualification: Passed the 10 2 (PUC) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Compulsory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics, along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.

Minimum Marks:

General/Other Categories: Minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination.

Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC of Karnataka): Minimum aggregate of 40% marks.

English: Must have studied English as one of the subjects in the qualifying examination.
Admission Process
Admission to VVCE is conducted through three primary channels:
| Admission Channel | Description |
| Government Quota (KCET) | Students must appear for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). Seats are allotted via centralized counseling conducted by the KEA based on merit and rank. |
| COMEDK Quota | Students appearing for the COMEDK UGET entrance exam can apply for seats allocated to the COMEDK quota through centralized counseling. |
| Management Quota | A specific percentage of seats are reserved for direct admission by the college management. Candidates must apply directly to the VVCE administration and meet the university's minimum eligibility criteria. |
General Steps to Apply

Entrance Exam: Register and appear for the relevant entrance exam (KCET, COMEDK, or JEE Main).

Counseling: Participate in the respective centralized counseling process (KEA or COMEDK) and select VVCE as your preferred choice during the choice-filling stage.

Document Verification: Upon seat allotment, report to the college campus in Mysuru with all original documents for verification.

Fee Payment: Complete the fee payment through the official portal or designated bank channels to confirm the seat.
