Scholarships and Financial Aid

VVCE provides financial support through a mix of government-sponsored schemes and internal merit/need-based scholarships.

1. Government Scholarship Schemes

• State Scholarship Portal (SSP): Available for students belonging to SC/ST, OBC, and economically weaker sections (EWS) as per Karnataka government norms.

• National Scholarship Portal (NSP): Central government schemes for eligible students.

• AICTE Scholarships:

  • Pragati Scholarship: For girl students (income limit applies).

  • Saksham Scholarship: For differently-abled students.

  • Swanath Scholarship: For orphans or wards of armed forces/paramilitary personnel.

• Ishan Uday: Special scholarship for students from the North Eastern Region.

2. Institutional & Merit-Based Aid

• Merit-Based Waivers: The college occasionally offers fee waivers for students who have secured exceptionally high ranks in entrance exams or outstanding results in the 12th/PUC board exams.

• Need-Based Support: VVCE allocates internal funds annually to support students facing significant financial hardship. Eligibility is typically determined by family income documentation and academic progress.

• Important Requirement: To continue receiving most institutional scholarships, students are generally expected to maintain a specific CGPA and clear all subjects without backlogs each semester.
