Overview of Admissions at IIM Mumbai – 2025

IIM Mumbai (formerly known as NITIE Mumbai) has secured the 6th position in the ‘Management’ category as per the NIRF 2024 Rankings. Admissions for the 2025 academic session are currently open. Typically, the application process at IIM Mumbai begins in January and concludes by March. Candidates are advised to complete and submit their application forms before the last date of IIM Mumbai 2025 admissions.

For those shortlisted in the merit list of their respective programs, classes are expected to begin in June. Presently, IIM Mumbai offers a variety of postgraduate-level degree and certificate programs in the domain of Business and Management.

Admissions to NITIE (IIM Mumbai) are conducted through either entrance exams or merit evaluation. Applicants must fulfill the specific eligibility requirements to apply for any program. IIM Mumbai MBA Admission Process follows for batch 2025-27 :-

Stage 1: Applicants are selected for the Personal Interview (PI) round based on their valid CAT scores. The category-wise CAT cutoff for IIM Mumbai's MBA / MBASM admission is provided in the table below:

Stage 2: Candidates who are shortlisted are invited for a Personal Interview (PI) based on their valid CAT scores, taking into account their reservation category and gender diversity. Academic background and prior work experience are not considered while selecting candidates for the interview stage.

Stage 3: The final admission decision is made using a Composite Score derived from assigned weightage to various components. The final selection for the MBA programme takes into account the following criteria:
