"MP High Court Reschedules NEET UG 2025 Result Hearing to June 5, 2025, to Address Exam Concerns"

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has postponed the hearing regarding the NEET-UG 2025 result case to June 5, 2025, following widespread disruptions during the examination. The issue stems from severe power outages at multiple exam centers in Indore and Ujjain on May 4, 2025, which significantly impacted students' performance. Over 20,000 candidates were affected by these technical failures, with some reportedly forced to write their papers under candlelight for up to two hours due to prolonged electricity cuts. During previous proceedings, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the court that a special committee would investigate the incidents reported from 24 affected centers in Indore, while the National Testing Agency (NTA) acknowledged disruptions at 18 centers in Indore and 6 in Ujjain. Representing the aggrieved students, Advocate Mridul Bhatnagar has demanded either a re-examination or appropriate compensatory measures, arguing that students should not suffer due to circumstances beyond their control. With NEET-UG 2025 results originally scheduled for declaration on June 14, the court's upcoming decision could potentially delay the results or provide relief to affected candidates. The verdict will be particularly crucial for Madhya Pradesh, where over two lakh students appeared for the medical entrance examination, and the court's ruling will determine whether the NTA proceeds with the original results or implements alternative solutions for impacted examinees.
