NEET 2025 Cutoff: Determining Factors
NEET cutoff 2025 will be determined based on the following five factors:
- Total numbers of candidates who appear for the examination: This year, the total number of candidates appearing for NEET 2025 is 20.8 lakh, which is approximately thee lakh less compared to last year. Hence, the competition has decreased from last year.
- Difficulty level of the examination: As stated above, the overall difficulty level of the exam has increased compared to the previous years. Hence, the NEET 2025 expected cutoff is also likely to go down.
- Performance of the Candidates: Owing to the high difficulty level of the exam, it is anticipated that the highest marks obtained by candidates may not be 720> In that scenario, the NEET 2025 expected cutoff is likely to be lower.
- Number of seats available: The total number of seats available for MBBS and BDS courses is 1,17,950 and 27,868, respectively. As compared to last year, the total number of MBBS seat has increased.
