Overview
We are one of the leading institutions in Gujarat for dental science, bridging academic excellence with clinical demand for highly skilled dentists and oral care professionals. Established in 2010 and recognized by Gujarat University, we now have over 2500 dentists pursuing their career in clinics across India. The Goenka Research Institute of Dental Science (GRIDS), located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, is a premier private dental college known for its commitment to academic excellence, clinical training, and research in oral health sciences. Established in 2010, GRIDS is affiliated with Gujarat University and approved by the Dental Council of India (DCI). Over the years, it has emerged as one of the leading institutions in Gujarat, producing over 2,500 dental professionals who now serve across India. GRIDS offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs in dentistry. The flagship undergraduate course is the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), while the postgraduate Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) program includes specializations such as Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontology, Prosthodontics, and Oral Medicine & Radiology. Admission to both programs is strictly based on national entrance exams, NEET-UG for BDS and NEET-MDS for postgraduate studies. The total intake capacity for various programs is approximately 120 seats, and the admission process is governed by the Gujarat Professional Medical Educational Colleges or Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fees) Act, 2007. The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including modern lecture halls, advanced laboratories, and a comprehensive library with access to national and international journals. The attached dental hospital provides students with hands-on clinical experience across all major dental specialties. GRIDS emphasizes practical training, ensuring that students are well-prepared to handle real-world dental cases under expert supervision. In addition to academics, GRIDS supports a vibrant student life. The college offers separate hostels for boys and girls, a cafeteria, sports facilities, and a well-equipped auditorium for seminars and cultural events. The campus is designed to foster both intellectual and personal growth, with a focus on discipline, ethics, and community service.
GRIDS also places a strong emphasis on research and innovation. Faculty members actively participate in national and international conferences, and students are encouraged to engage in research projects and publish their findings. The institute has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with other dental colleges and educational platforms to promote collaborative learning and infrastructure development. The fee structure at GRIDS varies based on the admission quota, Government, Management, or NRI. For example, the BDS tuition fee is approximately ₹12,48,000 at the time of admission. These figures are subject to change and are regulated by the state’s fee fixation committee. Strategically located near Gandhinagar Railway Station and Ahmedabad Airport, GRIDS is easily accessible for students from across the country. Its blend of academic rigor, clinical exposure, and holistic development makes it a preferred destination for aspiring dental professionals.
