BDS Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission into the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10 2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as core subjects, along with English as a compulsory subject.

• Minimum Marks Requirement:

  • General Category: Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  • SC/ST/OBC Categories: Minimum 40% aggregate in the same subjects.

• NEET-UG Qualification: Candidates must appear for and qualify in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), which is mandatory for all dental aspirants across India.

• Age Criteria: Must be at least 17 years old on or before December 31 of the admission year. Additional age-related conditions may apply as per NEET and DCI guidelines.

Admission Process

• Entrance Exam: Admission is strictly based on NEET-UG scores. Candidates must register and appear for the NEET exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

• Counseling and Seat Allotment: After qualifying NEET, candidates must participate in Karnataka NEET Counseling, managed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Seat allotment is based on NEET rank, category, and preferences filled during counseling.

• Annual Intake: The college offers 40 seats annually for the BDS program.
