Malout Institute of Management and Information Technology (MIMIT)

Malout Institute of Management and Information Technology (MIMIT) stands as a premier self-financing institution established by the Government of Punjab. It is uniquely positioned as the only government institute in the state to offer a combined portfolio of Engineering and Management programs. Since its inception, the college has been governed by a Board of Governors, chaired by the Technical Education Minister of Punjab, ensuring high standards of academic and administrative governance.

The institute was envisioned in the late 90s to bridge the gap between technical education and industrial requirements in the Malwa region of Punjab. Over the decades, it has evolved from a small technical hub into a multi-disciplinary campus known for producing industry-ready professionals.

• Campus Location: The college is spread across a lush green, 25-acre campus, designed by the Chief Architect of Punjab. It is strategically located just 5 minutes from the Malout Bus Stand.

• Academic Blocks: The campus features a three-storied integrated academic and administrative block with modern classrooms and specialized wings for different departments.

• Laboratories: The institute houses a Central Computer Centre with over 400 high-end nodes. Specialized labs include the RDBMS Lab, Microprocessor Lab, and advanced Mechanical Engineering workshops (CAD/CAM and Robotics).

• Library: A 10,500 sq. ft. double-storied automated library with a vast collection of over 30,000 books and access to digital resources via DELNET.

• Hostel Facilities: Separate, well-secured hostels for boys (350 beds) and girls (150 beds) are available on-campus, featuring common rooms, Wi-Fi, and gyms.
