NEET 2025 Counselling: MCC Schedule & Dates (Coming Soon), Registration, Choice Filling, and Seat Allotment Results

The NEET 2025 counselling process is expected to start in the fourth week of July 2025, about a month after the NEET 2025 results were announced, and no later than August 2025. As per the National Testing Agency (NTA), the NEET 2025 result was officially declared on June 14, 2025. The exam itself was held on May 4, 2025, with around 21 lakh candidates appearing—approximately two lakh fewer than the previous year.

Due to the increased difficulty level of the exam, this year’s NEET cutoff scores are lower, although the qualifying percentiles remain unchanged. Consequently, the number of students qualifying for the exam has also dropped compared to last year.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the NEET 2025 counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats through an online process. The only exception is the final round, where candidates must physically report to the allotted institute for document verification and final admission formalities. In total, there will be around five to six counselling rounds, with the possibility of additional rounds depending on seat availability.

NEET counselling is categorized into two major types: counselling for 15% AIQ seats managed by MCC and 85% State Quota (SQ) seats handled by individual state counselling authorities.
