The NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate) was conducted on May 4, 2025, in a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM. This year, over 22 lakh candidates appeared for the medical entrance exam. Many students reported that the exam was more lengthy and challenging compared to previous years.
With the exam now concluded, aspirants are eagerly awaiting the release of the provisional answer key, which helps in calculating probable scores. Based on previous trends, the provisional answer key is expected to be available by the end of May 2025. The NEET UG 2025 result is likely to be declared approximately four to five weeks after the exam.

Candidates can follow these steps to access the provisional answer key once released:
- Visit the official NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the link titled “NEET UG 2025 Provisional Answer Key” on the homepage
- Log in using your application number, date of birth, and security code
- View and download the provisional answer key displayed on the screen
Raising Objections Against the Answer Key
Students will have the opportunity to challenge any discrepancies in the provisional answer key through an online objection window. A non-refundable fee must be paid for each challenge submitted. Once the objection process is complete, NTA will evaluate the feedback and prepare the final answer key.
Note: The final answer key may differ from the provisional one and is typically released just before the announcement of results.
