A cornerstone of the academic experience at GILT is its highly specialized laboratory infrastructure. The institute boasts a unique set of labs that are rarely found in traditional engineering colleges. These include the Tannery Lab (equipped with drums and paddles for leather processing), the Footwear Making Lab (featuring clicking, closing, and lasting machinery), and the Leather Testing Lab (for chemical and physical analysis of materials). Additionally, the campus houses a modern Footwear Designing Lab with specialized software, a Computer Lab for general technical training, and a Chemistry Lab for leather auxiliaries analysis.
