Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University

Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) is a state government agricultural university headquartered at Lam, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1964 as Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University and later renamed in honor of Acharya N G Ranga, a prominent freedom fighter and farmer leader. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and operates under the Government of Andhra Pradesh. ANGRAU is dedicated to agricultural education, research, and extension. It oversees a network of constituent colleges, research stations, and Krishi Vigyan Kendras across the state. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in agriculture and allied sciences such as horticulture, agricultural engineering, agricultural economics, home science, and agricultural biotechnology. The academic framework integrates classroom learning with field training, research, and farmer outreach.
