Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

To be eligible for the academic session, candidates must satisfy the following:

• Educational Qualification: Completion of 12th (Higher Secondary) from a recognized board (PSEB, CBSE, ICSE, etc.).

• Core Subjects: Candidates must have passed with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology.

• Minimum Marks:

  • General Category: Minimum 45% aggregate in the subjects mentioned above.

  • SC/ST Category: Minimum 40% aggregate in the subjects mentioned above.

• Entrance Exam: Admissions are primarily based on the JEE Main rank. For any remaining seats, the institute may consider the inter-se merit of the qualifying 12th examination.

Admission Process

The admission pathway involves both centralized counseling and direct entry options:

1. Centralized Counseling (IKGPTU):

   • Candidates must register for the IKGPTU Centralized Online Counseling based on their JEE Main scores.

   • During choice filling, select Adesh Institute of Technology, Mohali as the preferred institution.

   • Seats are allotted based on merit, category (Punjab Resident vs. Other State), and availability.

2. Direct Admission (Management Quota):

   • Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply directly to the college for management quota seats (usually 33% of total intake).

   • This often involves filling out an application form on the Adesh Institute website or visiting the campus.

   • Admission is granted based on the merit of 12th marks.
