B.Tech Admission Process

Admission to the Bachelor of Technology program is divided into two main categories: All India seats (75%) and Government of Gujarat seats (25%) managed by the ACPC.

• Step 1: Check Eligibility:

• Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

• A third subject is required from a list including Chemistry, Computer Science, Biology, or Biotechnology.

• Minimum Marks: At least 45% aggregate in the three subjects above (40% for reserved categories).

• Step 2: Entrance Exams:

• Valid scores in JEE Main or state-level engineering entrance tests like GUJCET or MH-CET are required.

• Step 3: Online Application:

• Apply through the Ahmedabad University undergraduate portal and pay a non-refundable application fee.

• Step 4: Selection & Merit List:

• Selection for All India seats is based on a "holistic score" comprising entrance test percentiles and Class 12 performance.

• Step 5: Counseling & Admission:

• Shortlisted candidates participate in the university's counseling process for seat allotment.
