Alipurduar Government Engineering and Management College

Overview: Alipurduar Government Engineering and Management College (AGEMC) is a public engineering college established by the Government of West Bengal in 2023, and is the first government engineering institution in the Alipurduar district, aiming to expand technical education access in the region. It is approved by AICTE and affiliated with MAKAUT, West Bengal. The campus spans approximately 18.45 acres in Chhipra, Alipurduar, near the Raidak‑I river and National Highway 17, blending environmental serenity with connectivity to Assam and other areas. AGEMC was initiated as part of the state government's strategy to decentralize quality engineering education and strengthen academic infrastructure in northern West Bengal. Its infrastructure includes smart classrooms, advanced laboratories, library facilities, and separate hostels for male and female students.
