Overview
Inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1955, Assam Engineering College (AEC), Guwahati is the premier and oldest engineering institution in Northeast India. Located in the scenic Jalukbari area across a 400-acre campus, it is a government college affiliated with Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) and approved by AICTE. The institution serves as a central hub for technical education and industrial consultancy in the region, known for its deep-rooted legacy and highly competitive admissions via the Assam CEE.
