Admission Process and Eligibility, Cutoff and Selection

Admissions for B.E./B.Tech (2025-26) are entrance-based through Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for KCET quota, COMEDK for private quota, and limited management quota. As of January 2026, counseling rounds are typically completed or in final stages—check KEA/COMEDK portals for updates.

  • Eligibility for B.E./B.Tech: Pass in 10 2 (PUC/equivalent) with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Electronics/Biology; minimum 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC). Valid KCET/COMEDK rank required.

  • Admission Process:

    • Appear for KCET (government quota) or COMEDK UGET.

    • Participate in centralized counseling. Seats allotted based on rank, category, preferences.

    • Management quota: Direct application to the college (higher fees).

    • Documents: 10 2 marksheet, entrance rank card, caste/income certificate (if applicable), etc.

  • Cutoff and Selection: Merit-based on entrance ranks. Cutoffs vary by branch, category, and round. Latest 2025 KCET approximate closing ranks (General Merit/GM examples; vary by round):

    • B.E. in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: ~33,000–45,000 

    • B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering: ~37,000–40,000 

    • B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science): ~44,000–48,000.

    • B.E. in Information Science and Engineering: ~51,000–53,000.

    • B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering: ~58,000 .

    • Other branches (Mechanical, Civil): Higher ranks (90,000–2,00,000 ). COMEDK cutoffs: Generally 28,000–85,000 for general category. Check official KEA/COMEDK for exact 2025 details.
