Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

To be eligible for admission to the session, candidates must meet the university and state-mandated requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Completion of 12th (Intermediate) from a recognized board (CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, etc.).

• Compulsory Subjects: Candidates must have passed with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects, along with one optional subject from: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology.

• Minimum Marks:

  • General/OBC Category: A minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the required subjects.

  • SC/ST Category: A minimum aggregate of 40% marks in the required subjects.

• Entrance Exam: Admissions are primarily based on the JEE Main rank.

Admission Process

Admission is managed through the centralized UPTAC (Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counseling) process.

1. Entrance Exam: Candidates must appear for the JEE Main examination.

2. UPTAC Counseling Registration: After JEE results, candidates must register on the UPTAC official portal.

3. Choice Filling: During the choice-filling phase, select Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology & Management, Lucknow as your preferred college.

4. Seat Allotment: Based on the merit rank and availability, the UPTAC system will allot seats.

5. Direct Admission (Management Quota): BBDITM also reserves a percentage of seats for direct admission under the Management Quota. Candidates can visit the college campus with their 12th marks to inquire about availability and secure these seats.
