Central Sanskrit University (CSU), Jaipur Campus, established on May 13, 1983, is a distinguished institution dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Sanskrit language and Indian knowledge systems. Initially founded as Kendriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, the campus has evolved into a vital center for Sanskrit education and research. In 2020, following the enactment of the Central Sanskrit Universities Act, it became an integral part of CSU, a central university headquartered in New Delhi.  Academic Programs and Departments

The Jaipur Campus offers a comprehensive range of programs across various levels:

• Undergraduate Programs: Prak-Shastri (equivalent to higher secondary), Shastri (B.A.), and Shastri (Hons.). Postgraduate Programs: Acharya (M.A.), Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed.), and Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.).

• Doctoral Programs: Vidya Varidhi (Ph.D.) in disciplines such as Sahitya, Vyakarana, Dharmashastra, Jain Darshan, Jyotish, Sarvadarshan, and Veda. Diploma and Certificate Courses: Diploma in Yoga & Ayurveda Sahitya. The campus comprises several departments, including Sahitya (Literature), Vyakarana (Grammar), Dharmashastra (Jurisprudence), Jain Darshan (Jain Philosophy), Jyotish (Astrology), Sarvadarshan (Philosophical Systems), and Veda (Vedic Studies). Innovative Legal Education

In a pioneering move, CSU's Jaipur Campus has introduced an LLB (Hons.) program in Bharatiya Jurisprudence. This three-year course integrates classical Indian legal texts like Manusmriti and Arthashastra with modern legal frameworks such as the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). The program is delivered in Sanskrit, Hindi, and English, aiming to bridge traditional and contemporary legal thought.
