Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology (CIT)

Overview: Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology (CIT) was established under the auspices of Sri Channabasaveshwara Swamy Education Society (R) with a mission to provide quality technical education to the rural and urban student population. Located in Gubbi, near Tumkur, approximately 90 km from Bangalore, the institute has grown into a prestigious center for engineering and management studies. Spread over a sprawling 25.5-acre eco-friendly campus, the Ch. Ranbir Singh Memorial Library houses 64,000 books, 8,000 titles, and provides access to digital journals via J-Gate. NAAC accredited and ISO 9001:2015 certified, the institute conducts the CIT-CAT scholarship test where toppers receive Free Engineering Education for one student in each discipline. Ranked #52 out of 173 colleges in India by IIRF, the institute recorded a highest package of ₹13.60 LPA.
