Overview: Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), established in 1971, is a government-owned autonomous university in Kochi, Kerala. Originally founded as the University of Cochin, it was reconstituted in 1986 to focus on graduate and postgraduate studies and advanced research in applied sciences, technology, industry, and management. The university is a premier institution in India, re-accredited with a NAAC 'A ' Grade. The sprawling 180-acre main campus in Thrikkakara acts as a hub for innovation, housing various academic blocks, the School of Engineering, and specialized research centers including the Advanced Centre for Atmospheric Radar Research (ACARR), part of the Prime Minister's "Make in India" program. Ranked 51st among Universities by NIRF 2024, the university recorded a highest package of ₹20.0 LPA and an average package of ₹5.40 LPA.
